Step One
* Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple ("I'd love an icon of 'X' that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
* If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
* There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
As always, declaration of this list does not imply obligation. But if you feel so inclined... :)
i've never done this before but it's been going around for years. i usually make a list of things that i want that are usually totally unobtainable, but i'm just wishing (like good health, lolz). i think i'll make this one 50/50.
1. $7000 to pay off my entire medical debt or any amount really to at least try to chip away at it. so much of it has fallen into collections that my credit (even though my revolving credit is PRISTINE - NEVER have i missed a credit card payment) is very close to shot.
2. a new winter coat. mine is seriously 10 years old and i've sort of outgrown how ubergothy i was so a black faux fur coat is a bit much. i think i'm leaning more toward a pea coat type situation, like this or maybe this in black.
3. a ps3 and little big world to keep me occupied while i'm laid up after surgery.
4. mix cds with playlists! i'm so out of the musical loop these days. i primarily listen to punk, but i like a lot of different stuff from chopin to tom waits.
5. donations to non-profit organizations that help animals. here's a few. $1 - $1000, anything is a help. pet promise is where orion is from :)
6. this shirt. it just looks sooo comfy. size S
7. unique rubber duckies. no seriously. i collect them. i have a pirate, devil duckies in silver, gold, bronze and glow in the dark, a dead duckie, a zombie duckie and a duckie with flames down his sides.
8. winter boots. mine have no traction cuz they're so old, lol. preferably new docs cuz they are really comfy and last forever, or these even tho i'm not really a harley girl. uk 5.5 - 6.
9. pictures of you and i together. over the years i've lost so many of my photos, and i know we've all had some insane times together at one point or another. digital or hard copy, i don't mind.
10. prints from my favorite artists or artists you think i may like. francisco goya (still need to replace my "saturn devouring his son" that died years ago), joel-peter witkin, reno larson, ralph steadman, etc.

If you post this, post a link in the comments section so it makes it a bit easier to track, and for others to peek around and attempt to fulfill your wishes. :)
Have fun!
