i got my surgery bill today. insurance hasn't processed it so i got the full amount....

no shit.

$2,000 for my everyday meds that i took in with me like they said to, but wouldn't let me take. i had to take one's from the hospital so they could charge me to hell and back.

i think it's safe to say i've met my deductible.

sooooo....

one of my incisions still shows no sign of healing. it won't close in the middle or form a scab, and it's three weeks old. it is VERY tender to the touch and periodically sends shock waves of pain thru my body. it's not infected red, it's scar tissue red. i don't have a fever, i've been checking regularly throughout the day just to make sure. we've been cleaning it regularly and trying bacitracin with the dressings. the incision in the front looks almost 100% healed aside from the fat still being a little displaced giving me a little square belly and the muscles are still a little tender.

is this something i should be worried about?
