someone should come take all my paints and canvas away. i've lost my touch, not only with reality but with art. good thing i haven't touched my bass in weeks or i'd have thrown it off the balcony.

i can't do anything right.

time to time, a rut occurs. i've been stuck in one for months, nay, more than a year. no worries. it's in there. it'll come back.

You can do plenty right. Everyone has odd swings. Don't let yourself be discouraged.

Yeah I know how you feel about the art thing. i used to draw a lot, hell I even worked for DC/Vertigo comics. For the past week I've been trying to draw again, but nothing is happening. I was so angry I was gonna punch a baby.

When that happens to me, I try doing something completely different than usual. Remember how that bitch Mrs Heinrick would make us do quick sketches of things in 30 seconds or so.. yeah, I found that actually can help out, loosens ya up or something. Just grab a stack of copy paper and start scribbling everything you see.. maybe some of those bitchen ass boats. You'd be surprised at what you can do when you!

Also helpful, picking up any sort of art magazine and just flipping through till something catches your eye. Sometimes they have good ideas for igniting creativity with little project suggestions. Like, each day for a week.. find a picture or small object that strikes your fancy, set it aside.
At the end of the week, try compising some work including each object or picture somehow. :)

Don't give up, because then they get teh win.

i'm just having issues :P no meds, trying to find a doctor to get me on AS FEW AS POSSIBLE but no one is in the office, or the number is wrong, or they don't take my insurence... it's just a big giant mess. i hate being mentally ill.

oh, and they have cheap good basses at that music place you used to work at, just buy the wall units, they're like hundreds cheaper.
