TOUGH FUCKING SHIT! THIS IS

Interesting. Inetresting interesting. That's true. But a very Bush like statement, right? "You don't like us, well, CONVERT...muthafuckas."

Room for debate there is!

From: [identity profile] skwyrm.livejournal.com

yes, but unlike Bush, her journal isn't going to dictate the outcome of millions. besides, if you don't like what's in someone's journal, you can look the other way by unfriending them or just ignoring their posts. If you disagree with Bush, it's literally shoved into your face every time you look at the news or catch something in the paper.

tho the opinion or the basic idea may be similar, the actual outcome is so vastly different that comparing the two just seems...

like a desperate attempt to use politics as a conversation/debate starter...

might as well have used some keywords like "jesus" or "abortion" if we're gonna go down that route...

Live journal opinions and the decisions made by a supposed "leader" aren't really all that similar at all, and i"m almost dissapointed that someone tried so DESPERATELY to scratch open a stale debate in order to somehow maybe make a point.

valliant effort tho...

next time, just try a little harder. you'll get it...

yeah, one of the few things I'm still good at...

reminding other folks how much better than them I really am. ::smirk::

but seriously, it just seemed like a pretty weak attempt at starting a debate, that's all...

From: [identity profile] genuinechris.livejournal.com

No, not really. Saying 'here i am take it or leave it,' is the first step to arrogance, which is...

From: [identity profile] skwyrm.livejournal.com

it's also a giant step to accepting yourself, after years of letting people take advantage of you and walk all over you.

for her to be stating something as bold and arrogant as that is actually a giant leap for her in the self esteem realm.

I've seen this girl go thru a lot, and she deserves some level of arrogance after all of it. and to trivialize her independance and compare it to Bush completely out of context is really just lame, and quite honestly weak.

however, your opinions are yours, and mine are mine...

alltho, going into a situation blindly without all the facts and picking fight's/debates is also rather Bush like, isn't it?

Wow. You're stark raving nuts! The gist is that people's thougths are not okay. If I had said, "DON'T FUCK WITH ME." 5 years ago, I wouldn't have learned from people that disagreed with me.

I have been wong.

Shutting people out, that are positive, is rarely a good way to go. People disagree with me, I learn from them. I'm not always right, but I always think and I always try, and I always try to learn so I can teach what I've learned so people don't gotta repeat my mistakes.

actually, i'm the stark raving mad one. he just likes to argue.

::in the voice of the rabbit at the tea table:: "LOOK OUT!!! SHE'S STARK RAVING MAD!!!"

well.... in his defense we just became friends so he doesn't know the terrible horrible no good very bad day story...

and i'm the shit, i'm not arrogant, i'm just better than everyone (joke)

i thought this was a poor debate yet here you are, honey!

my baby is such an asshole - just the way i like 'em :)

From: [identity profile] paroxysm-cycle.livejournal.com

nonono, not convert. it's like this: i LOATHE bible beaters, you know the ones, they try to convert you if you sneeze wrong... so i just stay away from them. they have their right to do their thing, just far away from me, heh.

similarly, if you don't like what i say in my journal, don't read it. it's your choice. if you choose to read it and it offends you, don't bitch me out for it as you have the option not to read it.

not enforcing any kind of journal martial law, heh.
