the more i pay attention to the people around me, the more i'm thinking it's time to move to another country. blast the dude cuz you don't agree with him, blast the dude for being pro-choice, blast the dude for not having as much experience, but for chrissakes, leave race out of it.

I've been thinking the same for my entire adult life-- and it only gets worse every year. I've gone so far as to research most European countries in terms of culture, livability, economic opportunity, ease of immigration... Most days, I feel like I might be able to live here for another 10 years, but some days I want out yesterday.

Close... Very close. Sweden just edges out Norway, mainly on the grounds of easier immigration and the fact they allow for dual citizenship. Sweden lets a lot of people in because the Swedes don't like to reproduce themselves very much, so the government tries to keep the population up through immigration. And citizenship is basically as easy as living there for 5 straight years without committing a crime or being on welfare.

Plus, perhaps ironically, that's where my great-grandparents came from.
