i've been fantasizing about having an actual guitar lately. don't get me wrong, i LOVE my bass and sometimes play until my fingers bleed, but i've been aching for an acoustic.
then i saw this and peed a little.
others that i would give my left tit for:
gibson true vintage SJ-200 in vine
the gibson elvis presley dove (tho the king of rock is really badass too, the sound is just a tad too twangy for me)
the western classic prewar 200. it's a shame there's not a sound clip of it on here because its so freaking BALLSY for an acoustic...
yeah, i'm not a gibson snob or anything. i'm still kicking myself for selling my 1970 les paul for drugs AGES ago. i sold it for $800. $800. those motherfuckers go for upwards of $6,000. drugs are bad m'kay? they make you do dumb shit.
basses i really like the throaty ibanez sound (hence why i own an ibanez :D). however nothing, and i mean NOTHING can beat the deep intestine shaking sound of alembic basses (as made famous by the grateful dead and pete steele, lol). i just don't have an extra $25-30,000 to toss around. hell, i barely had a grand for my car repairs.
my point? nothing really. just indexing these bad boys so i'll have something to look forward to when i have a real job with disposable income (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! yeah, that'll happen).

and *my* personal bass hero:
cliff burton. he and lemmy are the whole reason i ever picked up a bass.
here's what the spoiler looks like a little clearer:
fucking amazing instruments, alembics. comparable to how amazing a powell flute would be to you.
