probable MRSA? are you fucking serious?!

why can't anything normal ever happen to me? i also have a "large lump" in my left breast. ask me how exited i am about that. no seriously. i have an ultrasound monday to investigate. cross your fingers.

and to think, i went to the doctor thinking i had some bug bites and a sinus issue... sheesh.

eh dont worry about MRSA, it's not a scare as everyone thinks it is...just cellulitis that developed an immunity to some antibiotics. If its on your face, and its mrsa, expect to take Septra DS and bactroban jelly (in the nose) for a week or two.

That lump may just be edema

yeah, doc said its much more manageable than initially thought, it was just a shock. she already gave me the bactroban (omg that is so unpleasant).

for my boobie, she said there's a good chance it's just a fibroadenoma but doesn't want to take any chances.

my health is always such a fun endeavor, lol.

uggggggh fibroadenoma. they'll probably want to keep it in there, if you really want it out you kinda have to put up a fight :/ mine now takes up half my boob and they still wont remove it. "it's benign, we dont need to"

*nod* its like lipomas. They're tumors of the fatty tissue under in the dermis and feels like a little pea or marble, and relatively non painful, and always always benign. They (Military medicine) didnt want to remove the one i had near my knee, so i had our medical officer help me. fun times...

oh come on now, you know how warm and caring the medical field is! and insurance companies, they've been soooooo good to you and me!! :wretch:: ;)

good point, but usually if you piss and moan enough they do it to shut you up.

think about how long it took them to surgically do something about my back tho. if i would have known it was going to turn out so well and i'd feel SO much better i would have demanded they do it YEARS ago.

From: [identity profile] ciani.livejournal.com

yeah. back surgery is a touchy thing though.. even when they think it'll turn out well it doesn't always. I'm so glad yours did though. One of my coworkers has to have surgery soon. She has a swollen disc or something that is cutting off the nerve.

get one of the ones with the button that makes the metal thing swoosh the ice cream out. easier clean up.

if it's impinging on quality of life tho you'd think they'd be a little more lenient :P

i need a boob job anyways, they're lookin droopy, lol.

Man, you cannot get a break! I hope you can take care of this with a minimum of bullshit.

yeah, as soon as some stuff stops new stuff comes in. i've been getting rashes on my face for years now, just not this bad, not this painful and not this itchy. the chest one is driving me mad too, it's like a super version of the one i usually get. maybe this means they'll finally have a concrete diagnosis for me (yeah right).

Don't hold your breath!

I got a staph infection on my thighs (it also went halfway down my shins, fun) that wouldn't respondond to prescription antibiotics or ointment (I saw the doctor about three times), and I ended up getting rid of it by washing with chlorhexidine soap (that hibiclens shit) every morning and night (I left it on for a 60 seconds and then rinsed it off). I used it until everything healed, I forget how long it took. Maybe you could try that?

I also thought it might be fungal, so at the same time I was doing the hibiclens shit, when I got out of the tub (twice a day, again) I put monistat on it. Yeah, yeast infection crap, I bought a tube of the 7 day shit and threw away those plastic applicators. I used that for a week, I think? Maybe two. Until I ran out, whenever that was.

I also bleached everywhere I tend to sit or lay, in case I was giving it back to myself.

End result: itchy, rashy scab free! For now. <.
