so we met with the lawyer. he says he's going to draft a letter stating that they need to make our living space a safe place and until then we'll be putting our rent in escrow. i'm seeing a pulminologist and they're going to be testing my sputum for mold. fun times. gotta love nose tubes.

we met with the landlord. he said that they're going to give us a $545 rent credit for rent and another $200 for xflute_goddessx signing a lease. he also offered to move us into a new apartment, but i wonder how much better that would be seeing as though its in the same damn building. maybe if its a TOTAL refurb - like pulled the ceiling out and everything. maybe it's be safer over on the side of the building that was actually done when winter hit. he's also going to spring to have professionals come out and steam our carpets. all i want is to get better.

in the meantime we just bought one of these for orion's little piss parties he keeps having when the neighbors cats go into heat (even tho he's fixed). it's pretty handy actually, i like it so far.

a good friend of mine who moved to the other side of the nation just called to finalize plans to come visit for my graduation :D. i can only invite 6 people for some reason, so she's got her spot, then hawks and joey, dad, miss kitten and steve.

i want to invite my mom, but she's been truly juvenile since she discovered i'm in contact with my father. she seizes any opportunity she can to put him down, even if our conversation has nothing to do with him. like for instance "wow, that guys driving like a jackass" "oh i know all about that, i lived with bob redden" "so he drove like a jackass" "no but he...[random putdown about him that i've tried to validate with other people that were around in those days but can't seem to find factual evidence of]" she was also a major cunt to shane when i was in for my very first back surgery. shane tried telling her that i wanted to be in contact with her more or whatever and she just went off on her about not telling her how to raise me. i just don't know that i'd want a loose cannon like that at what's supposed to be a happy day with two people she's already verbally assaulted. she didn't give a shit about my high school graduation and decided to sit at home getting drunk instead of showing up, so i don't feel she really has secured a place there. i'd rather have people who've supported me instead of someone who's made a career of dragging me down.
