my lungs are still burning so bad. i finally went to the doctor. told him about the mold growing in our ceiling from the roofers not completing their job before winter came (who knew it takes 7 months and counting to put a roof on a small apartment complex?!) and how i've been stuffy and coughing and just pretty much sick since i left the hospital in december.

he gave me an antibiotic and an pseudovent prescription to try to break up whatever is in my chest. no luck so far, and that was friday. my dad scared me saying it sounds like TB, but my dad is totally a worse case scenario kind of health guy (because it usually is with him, poor dude). all i know is that i'm ready to not be sick. yeah, like that will ever happen. doc said if it doesn't break up then we need to start doing chest x-rays to see what's going on. with my luck i have walking pneumonia again. feh. I DON'T EVEN SMOKE!!!

i should just get in the bubble and get it over with.

you should get in touch with the dept of health
have them come test the mold
and cite your apartment complex

they could be like the marine corps. We lived (and the marines still do) in barracks with mold in them.

ugh :( that makes even less sense to have people who you actively seek to have in tip-top condition living like that. I don't think it's uncommon to know how badly mold can affect health.. so why wouldn't they take care of it? beyond money of course since it can get expensive.

does it hurt all the time? on inhalation? exhalation? coughing? productive?

you wouldnt get tb from mold, but you could get pneumonia. iknow someone who got pleurisy from mold. (inflammation/drying out of the lining of your lungs) its treatable.
google it, youll find a world of info.

i think you could sue your landlord for not fixing the problem if it is caused by mold, but it might be take more time and effort than it is worth.

it hurts less and subsides quite a bit when i leave. at work i coughed hardly at all though my nose ran like an olympian because of all the dust.

i don't think it's TB, my dad just likes to think the worst. this is the same guy who's been saying he's dying for the last 10 years. i love him and appreciate his concern but yanno how it goes.

it *does* however feel a great deal like walking pneumonia. i used to get that every winter when i smoked. i just got home from work and guess what?!?! PAIN YUCK OWWWWWW!!!

cough isn't very productive. i've hacked up maybe a few chunks over the last few weeks. it sucks :(. i have a doc's appointment tomorrow so i'll hopefully know more.
