I use Orbitz pretty exclusively, but I also check prices with Hotwire (great for flights and hotels, but you can't predict your departure time), Travelocity, and Expedia. I found that adding the car was a lot more expensive through Orbitz than booking it alone, though, so shop around there, too. I've had the best luck with Enterprise for cars.

Too bad you can't go from cleveland. If you did, you could choose from amtrak or megabus or greyhound or a plane. Good luck getting a flight from CAK to Chicago, might as well go to cleveland than canton for the airport.

going from cleveland isn't entirely out of the question tho

my mom has used megabus. i think it's like, $10. I dunno if it goes from akron at all or not. Otherwise you just need to get to tower city.
that's all i got.

Here's a tip: If you fly a cheaper airline like southwest, they have first come first serve seating like a school bus in 6th grade, except every seat will be full. The trick with these airlines is they seat people in "boarding groups", like A, B, and C. These airlines will have online check in usually 24 hours in advance. You need to check in as fast as possible on the internet to be sure you get in boarding group A. Like if you don't check in 24-23 hours in advance, you're not getting on the plane in the first group. Otherwise you're gonna look like forrest gump walking down the aisle going Seat taken?
