since i'm "disabled" i'm allowed to get first pick at classes. so i got all of the classes i intended to get :D:
* american sign language 2 (the sign languages are really hard to get into because people have the misconception that they're easier than foreign language... WRONG!)
* social psychology
"Social Psychology considers the ways in which people relate to and are affected by each other. Social is a core area of contemporary psychology. A wide variety of topics, including interpersonal attraction, attitude change, helping, aggression, conformity, and social cognition can be covered in this course."
* psychological assessment
"Clinical psychology and related fields make extensive use of assessment methods. In Psychological Assessment students learn the basics of assessment -- with an emphasis on clinical assessment done with standard tests. The course covers the characteristics of good psychological tests, the major types of tests, and when they should be used."
* health psychology
"The relationship of psychological factors to physical illness, including impact of such factors on illness, that of illness on behavior, and psychotherapeutic interventions"
i thought health psychology would be particularly interesting based on my heath situation(s). i wanted to take biopsych but i just can't fit it into my schedule. i also wanted to take a special topics course on forensic psychology because it looked interesting, but once again, it's only offered when i'm taking a class already :P. they had a class on psychopharmacology but they canceled it which made me sad :(.
so now all i have left is biopsych and ASL intermediate 1 and 2 then i have my graduation criteria. due to the stupid GRE mishap though i won't have my scores in time to apply to grad school, so maybe i'll stay one extra semester to take some special topics or something since i'll have a whole year after summer 3 ends before i go to grad school. stupid extended stay because of stupid test administration site SNAFU. die die die.
