It depends on the brand and the model. I've seen some high end washers and driers run $1000 each. Those look good, and could be in the $600 new each range, so $450 each would be good. I was happy with my $250 new each washer and drier and haven't had any complaints about them.

Do you have the brand and model numbers for them? You should be able to look them up online to see what the new price is.
