i'm so glad i paid $165 dollars to park a mere mile from my home.
i got a parking permit for school, thinking it would simplify things a bit, but everyone and their brother decided they didn't need parking permits and parked in the lots. mine is for a lot right by the building i'm normally in. guess who didn't get to park there. nor the lot a little farther away. nor the next one over. yes, i parked just under a mile from where i live. i live 4-5ish miles from campus, at least where i'm most commonly found.
i can't wait until people start to realize that they get tickets - goddamn expensive tickets. and then they all get towed. life will be sweet when i can park where i'm supposed to. now i know i have to leave an hour early for class to drive around all the lots :P
