why does god hate me?

so about 5 days ago i ever so intelligently dropped my curling iron on my face, obtaining a pretty nasty burn. okay, whatev, i've been keeping it clean, bandaged when i leave the house (people already stare at me enough because of the cane), bandaged when i sleep (so i don't grow to the pillow), applying antibiotic, so on and so on.

i woke up today with my eye almost totally swollen shut (the burn is on my upper cheekbone). i can already tell this vacation is going to blow.

off to the doctor to find out they have to amputate my head. one should be so lucky.

i have an infection in my cheek and eye.

seriously dude, wtf? didn't i just go through this? ::bashes head into wall::

on a bright note (if you can call it that), since i have "difficulty ambulating without assistance of a cane" (sounds kinky almost, yeah?) my doc wants to prescribe me a cripple parking placard from the state that i can use on campus to get to classes. so yay, less crippling about for me till we figure out why i'm crippling about!

sad that getting that news is considered a high point.
