i've decided that i am going to go to a meeting on monday for people with bipolar disorder. kind of a support group i guess of other people. you can read the profiles of the other people online and they range from 10 years diagnosed to me, 2 months diagnosed... i think i may be able to get some insight on how to deal from these people, and if not oh well. the meeting is at panera bread in brooklyn so i can at least get a decent meal and no obligation to continue meeting with them...

i just need some guidence, some hope. i mean, it's one thing to have people who love you telling you that it'll be okay and to just ride things out... but to hear advice from the prospective of people that are in your shoes... i think it might help me a little more, like the seniors giving the freshmen the lowdown... not that i'm not eternally greatful for the help those who love me offer... it's just another prospective...

wyl isn't very thrilled with it, at least that's what he kinda led me to belive earlier when i was in a pretty bad downswing. i was thinking about inviting him so he could hear that i'm not the only all bent out of shape by this thing and maybe learn a few things himself. its one thing to read about people being all fucked up from it, another to actually meet them...

i hope this is a good idea...

I went through misdiagnosis before I was finally deemed bipolar about 4 years ago... you have all my understanding. The group meeting sounds like a good idea.

i'm so freaking torn apart by this shit, it's actually comforting to see people who are able to function with it.

if you're interested in the group they're on meetup if you wanna join. its the second monday of every month that they meet. my car has no muffler but you're more than welcome to join me :)

I think that's a great idea. <3

Never hurts to look into new, potentially positive options.
