i've worn an ankh since i was like 13. the original one was given to me by someone who died later that year. i wore it for YEARS up until i decided to give it to a very good friend as a symbolic show of affection when i was 21. then wyl gave me another one when i was 22 and it snapped finally over the summer of '06. this one he helped me pick out at the local hippie shop but i bought for myself hoping it would last longer if i got it for myself, lol. weird, i know, but it would be unnatural for me to *not* wear an ahnk, obviously.
