i just picked up Yappa's ashes from the vet... damn was that hard. for some reason though i feel better having her home. i never though ashes would give me closure, but it has in it's own strange way. they put her in a tin with paw prints on it - not something i would have chosen for her (i think my mom might have picked it out). i need to find something better for her, plus that little charm that [livejournal.com profile] anmorata found for me for half the price i found it for. it'll probably have to wait until january when i have some spending money again, but Yap's not going anywhere.

she's sitting behind herself, lol. i have a framed picture from when she was a kitten (16 YEARS AGO!!) that i've toted around for, well, 16 years - so i just put the tin behind it for now. it's got her birth/death year on it and that really brought it into perspective what a long life she had. 1990 - 2006. my kitty was older than wyl's little sister and my little brother, lol. the other two cats have had their sniff, orion's silly self made sure to wipe his drool on the bottom corners, miette just sniffed and looked really confused.

it's good to have you home, Queen Yappa.
