i finally have a mentor/advisor!!!

according to everyone i've talked to in the department he's a really laid back and cool dude. i'm glad he said yes because i would have kept pestering the other lady who was being a total cunt through it all.

yayayayayayayay!

and there's tons of really good research experiments going on in fall as well too so i can write my first clinical essays on some wacky shit! i already have my forms and such, i just need to see how much i can handle on top of classes and work. goodbye sweet free time, how i loved you so!

nah, really i'm investing all this time and making all these sacrifices so that the freetime i will eventually have will be high quality because i put so much effort into stablizing my life and choosing a lucrative AND rewarding carrer.

wow, i just sounded like a high school guidance counseler.

i wish my chosen career were more lucrative, but alas no journalist becomes rich. at least not poor newspaper journalists... well okay, maybe if you work for the NY Times or something.

congrats on the mentor!
