um alice cooper was just in a longhorn steakhouse commercial...
okay, so i finally talked to the vet. they were testing yappa for CRF which is pretty much a death sentance, as well as several different renal diseases and organ failure. she wasn't looking good when i took her in.
so we go to the vet (keep in mind i've had yappa for 16 years). the vet freaks me out by saying "to tell you the truth i'm very worried about her." she was puking white foam and peeing in places she shouldn't as well as showing signs of "crashing" so yeah, i was very freaked out.
they gave her a ton of fluids and sent us home with a stomach med, which made no sense to me but i'm not about to complain. they did blood tests, and then i wait.
well, within a day of giving her stomach meds, her bad breath was gone. she'd had that breath for YEARS. so i get hopeful. i scrub the litter boxes, she hasn't peed other places. we finally get in touch with the vet...
ALL OF HER LEVELS ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHY!!!! the vet said she was suprised given how yap looked when we went in. so she prescribed us an antibiotic and a refill for stomach meds, along with info for a diet change to rehydrate her.
she thinks yap has a kidney infection AND irritable bowel syndrome as well as GERD (just like mama, lol). all three of these would, over time, look like a crashing cat. SHE WASN'T CRASHING!!!!! she just felt like shit.
MY KITTY IS GOING TO BE OKAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and that's my story.
