i've decided to kick my own ass in gear and made the first phone calls i needed to make in order to get my aid back. joey reminded me that the *DEAN* of arts and sciences said he'd back me in any appeal due to my physical circumstance. he said if it takes ten years to graduate he'd still back me. i totally forgot i had that in my arsenal. i'm not looking forward to picking up sign language 3 and 4 after a year's break, but i'll push through goddammit. i'm too close to give up now. throw in biopsych and social psych and i'm looking at quite a shitty summer, but a summer that will lead up to a graduation.
i also called the apartment office about getting a two bedroom upgrade. they said since i've lived here so long that they'd knock $50 off the price. it's totally doable, and it would give us another year to save up and maybe finally buy a house since i might have my promotion by then. if not we'll just move into a better place, because this building is dildos. it's just really hard to shuffle around all of our stuff AND nik's stuff in 500 square feet with a small storage locker in the laundry room. the apartment they're offering overlooks the thick patch of trees behind the building meaning NO PARKING LOT. we would share only one wall with the neighbor, and it's our living rooms, so no complaints about loud sex, lol. the downside is that it's right next to the stairs so we'd get to hear all of that, but we get that where we are now so it won't be too much different.
so i guess this is me officially pulling myself out of my funk. i also demanded that my boss call our district manager tomorrow and find out when i'm going for my second interview because i'm tired of this bullshit. i told him keeping me depends on it, so that should kick his ass in gear. at least that's what it took last time. i'm done fucking around. i'm done being fucked around. i'm taking back control bitches!
