whiney

joey went to a party and left me home alone. normally this wouldn't bother me but i kinda don't want to be alone. i'm pissed at him for going but the poor dude spent his birthday in court to establish visitation for niklas then in the hospital with me.

i got my first official look at my neck today. i pulled off the neck brace to look at it (my neck is still not very stable so i have to be careful) and grabbed a mirror to look at the back (the incision is in the front). it's amazing, the muscles that were all balled up and distorting the shape of my neck are smoothed down. the giant lump on my spine from the spinal cord being pushed up by the disk is gone. i can get my hands over my head. i can move my left hand normally (now i have to relearn to type AGAIN!!). there is no pain going down my left arm (except for the residual sore muscles from the spasms from the last few years). all and all, i'm in a sick amount of pain, but i can tell that it's going to be for the better, like my lumbar fusion.

this neck brace shit has got to go tho. i only have 3 and a half more weeks left with it! yaaay! ::bashes head into wall::
