so i called the body shop again today.

back up, i called them tuesday to see what's up with my car. they said "it's all painted and ready to go, the front end just need reassembled." cool, at least i know when it'll be ready now.

well...

in the meantime i've been driving joey's car. now, joey's car is what i refer to as a "special needs" or "developmentally challenged" car. 80% of the time, if you've driven it for 5 minutes or less, it will not start back up. you have to get out, unhook the hose from the idle air control valve, try to start it, reattach said hose, try to start it again. if these tricks don't work (meanwhile about 10 minutes have elapsed) then you have to disconnect the other end of the hose from the MAP sensor, spray cleaner into it (obtain mild buzz) reconnect and try to start it. if it doesn't start you have to repeat the whole process until it does - if it does. the whole process takes about 15-20 minutes, so when going ANYWHERE you have to allot time for this. it's a blast.

now back to calling the body shop. i called those a-holes to see when my car would be ready and the receptionist was all like "it's not slated for delivery until tomorrow at the earliest." um, what? ::twitch:: i told her what i was told on tuesday, and she's like "well who did you talk to?!" i'm like "how the hell should i know (though i think it came out more like "i'm not sure")." then some dude gets on the phone after i'm on hold for 5 minutes and he's all like "well, we forgot to order a part when we ordered the rest. we ordered it though and it should be here by tomorrow, we already got our deliveries for today." "but you told me wednesday or thursday" i plead. tough shit for me.

i think 3 weeks is quite a bit excessive. a buddy of mine that works in a body shop said that my car should have been a 4 day repair tops. TOPS.

i guess it wouldn't be so bad if i could afford a rental, but its either pay the deductible or get a rental and i'd much rather have my car back.

so now i have to go to the dentist and drop god knows how much on getting my stupid filling fixed that shouldn't have fallen out in the first place. hopefully i still even *have* the money to pay my deductible after this freakshow.

and to think, i was in a damn good mood this morning.

bah.
