so. i had an MRI scheduled for last friday to check for MS. the sunday before was when all that shit happened at work and i got the crap beat out of me by the stock room. fast forward to friday, i get the MRI.
no MS. thank god.
but...
there's a "severe disk herniation" in my cervical spine (you know, where i was hit with the boxes that fell on me) that's pushing on my spinal cord. i'm being referred to a neurosurgeon to figure out what they're going to do and to make sure there's no permanent damage done.
fucking wonderful.
meanwhile, my pain doc reported my injury as workman's comp even though i said i wasn't going to claim it since my spine is all fucked up anyways and they'll just rule it as a pre-existing condition. i got a form today to fill out for the injury in the mail. the MRI wasn't even for a disk bulge, but that's the diagnosis going on it apparently. i'm afraid that if i claim workman's comp that they'll try to say i'm fraudulently making a claim since my back is screwed up anyways and the MRI was scheduled BEFORE the injury - all unfortunate coincidences.
any opinions? suggestions?
