preset personality

everyone, for christmas/yule/kwanza/whatever, spare some money and each of you buy one tube of paint for me, that way i'll be able to paint again!

seriously though... over the years i've lost all of my old art things, ending my theraputic outlet. where is there around here that is priced for the poor to obtain the things i need to recreate my old passion?

i need brushes, canvas (stretched or unstretched, doesn't matter), various paints... somehow the easel my father built me when i was a child found it's way back to me almost 17 years later so i'll proudly use that (wobbly as it is :)... i love that man)

i've had idea's raging through my head and photoshop can only take you so close... my color pencils are nice, but it's not so much of a conforming media... i have to work extra hard to make it work how i'd like it to, if at all. i want to blend.

on that note, thank you to everyone for so much overwhelming support and good vibes. even if it's just a drive-by IM it really means a lot to me. i wasn't going for the david ghan effect when the shit hit the fan, but i'm kinda glad that's what happened because it's helping. a lot. thank you everyone.
