inclusion body myositis? has anyone ever heard of that before?

I did a little search on it, because no i hadnt heard about it before. it sounds a tad fishy,..kinda like fibro-myalgia. "Unresolving muscle weakness leading to atrophy"? wtf? It sounded at first like an untreated case of Rabdomyalosis(spl?) where the muscle is so quickly overused from a state of idleness, that it builds up so much lactic acid and starts to break itself down. But..like i said, the symptoms, to me seem very broad and that makes me think its a "we dont know what it is, so we'll call it this"

mind you, i could be absolutly wrong, im not a neuro tech corpsman...

it was another one of the 92837432876234876 diagnonsense possibilities thrown at me.

apparently i have all the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis EXCEPT the elevated ANA so it's not that. they played the lupus card too but again - the ANA.

i'm seriously about to give up and become a hydrocodone addict, though that shit doesn't 100% get rid of the pain.

hydrocodones work...but im not a big fan of vicoden. one of the nasty side effects is homicidal behaviour..you may want to pick up a Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopia from a bookstore...it's one of my best resources for figuring out different meds for different maladies. I.e Vicoden vs. Zydone, ect. ect

i ended up getting some badass anti-inflammatory and an equally badass muscle relaxer (flexeril wasn't cutting it) to tide me over until the stabbing. i'm going back in to get a series of epidural pain blocks then i'm gonna do physical therapy to get my muscles in my back to where they should be since i favor them way too much.

i'm hoping after i get that source of pain under control i can better concentrate and explain the other stuff. baby steps i guess. peripheral neuropathy cannot explain all the craziness going on pain-wise, though it does explain most of it.
