two days till classes start, you think i have my money for my books? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

fuck college and fuck the fucking assholes that run it that think every fucking person that goes to college has mommy and daddy there to pay for the ridiculously expensive books. my chem book ALONE is $250. used. ONE FUCKING BOOK! you say "hey kym, why don't you just go to half.com and buy a cheap one?" because i think the university is getting wise to that. know how i know? BECAUSE THEY PACKAGED THE FUCKING THING IN A SPECIFIC PACKAGE YOU CAN ONLY GET AT THE UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORES THEN RAISED THE PRICE BY $150. i don't know what's in it besides the fucking book but it better shit gold.

i'm BEYOND pissed right now. my boss granted me two days off to get all my shit together for school. i spent yesterday sitting on my ass because my money that was in my bursar's account didn't deposit. i checked my electronic deposit info, it's all correct... okay, i'll just relax then, i say to myself.

wake up today, my other day off. NOTHING! i even set aside the entire day to walk around campus with wyl and show him where everything is while i was up there getting my books! yeah, this school year is starting out just fucking peachy. someone better up my meds before someone dies.

oh yeah, the money was SUPPOSED to be there wednesday morning in case anyone is actually following this or even reading.

i understand your pain. last semester they shorted me $1000 because the loan people decided to pay my tuition twice and the school wouldn't cut me a cheque for the extra payment until about a month and a half into the semester. so yeah, i had no money to buy books. i think i ended up using rent money or something and then relying on income tax refund for rent. something like that. loan people suck. money sucks. i'd be as mad as you are.

Wow, they seem to be getting absolutely MORE terrible at this whole giving people the money they need thing. The same exact shit happened to my sister last year, and I think she actually had to start classes without her books. And the last sememster I was there, I couldn't afford books because my grants and loans didn't cover it so I tried to go a semester without books :P Art History with Reischuck - used Jason's book that was 3 years old and it was completely fucking obsolete. The whole system is a sham, and I can't understand how they can get away with it - especially jacking the price up on special books!

My advice is, if you haven't already in the past, go to the financial aid office and see if they still have that 'one time emergency fund' thing going on. When I worked at the library, a lady told me about it so I stopped home on the way from work and tweaked the waterworks and they had about $900 deposited into my account and while it took 3 days, it still helped.

UGH, or yeah - dip into bill money for books and then use loan money for rent/bills? I dunno, I'm sorry all this happened. *hug*
This is a load of crap you don't need!

i don't even have enough excess funds to afford my damn chem book. that's just a ridiculous price for a book.

wyl can't afford his books, they didn't even give him enough aid to completely cover tuition, he still owes like $170. luckily he's in intro classes so he might be able to squeak by on notes.

i don't even have enough money in my bank account to pay for that chem book. one of my paychecks is less that that book, isn't that fucking stupid?
