(no subject)

the rash on my face is back, all of my skin feels like its on fire. i feel like i have a bad sunburn all over my body (and inside too). as you know, i live in northeast ohio, therefore it is not sunburn.

also, i have what i think is a spider bite (two little punctures side by side) on my face. it was burning yesterday, now it's just a bit red. there are a few smaller similar blemishes that we dowsed with antibacterial and staph prevention stuff. i RARELY get zits so it would be just like my life to grace me with acne for the first time at 27 years old :P

haaaaaaate.

OT: callie says we need to get together again and have Joey's crack dip while I'm here

heh. ok.

And hey, you may be having an anaphylactic reaction, minor as it maybe. watch out for the usual: swelling, difficulty breathing, dizziness, ect. may want to keep an epi-pen handy

That rash sounds like an allergic reaction. Maybe to the spider bite? I'd take some Benadryl just to be safe. *kishes forehead*

yer such a mom ;)

i take an antihistamine along with my pain killer to settle my tummy so i'm hoping if it's an allergic reaction that will clear it up.

allergy to spider bites? is the rash on your face butterfly shaped?

[identity profile] paroxysm-cycle.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
it sorta is. i get it on my lips and hairline too but not as noticeable. i've been tested for lupus but i think i may go with my nurse buddy [livejournal.com profile] daliah's advice and get a re-test cuz this is the second time this month it's popped up. maybe about three times this year so far.

[identity profile] daliah.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
dude seriously, from what i know of you, i still suspect lupus. you just have far too many of the symptoms. id go back and get that ana test done again.
*shrugs&hugs*

i have a friend that's an esthetician that i called and she said it sounds like either the lupus butterfly rash or rosecia. either way i'm with you - imma get re-tested.

rosacea can appear seemingly out of nowhere, but usually you have prior symptoms. Does anyone in your family have it? What about other immunity disorders?
